Ben Nyaumwe
Ben completed his studies at University of Natal in 1995 as the first African Graduate Bsc Construction Management Degree.

In 2004 Ben started a company called Auspex Property which now comprises of foursubsidiary companies, one of which is Auspex Hotels and Leisure, owners and developers of the new Radisson Blu Hotel in Port Elizabeth. Ben was recently the recipient of the ABSA Entrepreneur of the Year award in Port Elizabeth and is a member of the South African Project Management Institute.

His company Auspex Property was the 1st black owned and managed company to receive an excellence in property development award from SAPOA.

In 2009 Ben brought Port Elizabeth its first 5 star international hotel The Radisson Blu Hotel Port Elizabeth. The hotel has set new standards in Port Elizabeth and has given the city an iconic landmark. Ben is also the owner of Caprice Restro Lounge situated at the McArthur Pool & Leisure Centre on the Port Elizabeth beachfront. Caprice is an upmarket sophisticated place to dine, socialise and sip on cocktails More recently Ben is leading the way in private sector investment in urban renewal in the CBD of PE. He has bought various vacant and derelict office and industrial buildings in North End and Central, Port Elizabeth.

Ben again has pioneered again for PE by bringing the Best Western group which is the world’s largest hotel chain with over 4000 hotels in over 82 countries. Ben is the proud father of two girls and is married to Nelisiwe Twiggy.
